Promote Your Business
As a new business owner, I’ll admit that I struggle with promoting my projects. I had a plan prior to releasing my book,“Healing from a Heartbreak: A Journey to Focus on You After a Breakup” that I believe helped me sell copies. However, now that my book is on the market, I often think about the creative ways to continue promoting my book. What content should I create that will be interesting? I offered a freebie to download a chapter from my book, but now what? I think part of what has me stuck is the feeling that over promoting my projects will make people uninterested. Then, I’m reminded that a person has to see your message at least seven times before taking an action (The Rule of 7).
Regardless if you’re a business owner or not, there is something about you that you can promote, and you should do it. It’s time to push past the fear of wondering if someone will click the link, like your post, or even purchase your product. As I’m typing this, I am encouraging myself to promote my projects and do it often.
If you’re similar to me and want to push through the fear of promotion, then I have great news! One of my business coaches Christian Mills is hosting a free workshop covering the topic on promoting your business. Join her for “How to Get Over The Fear of Promoting Your Business” this Saturday, September 19th from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. In this virtual workshop she will be giving tips for getting over this fear of promoting and giving you tips on how to promote effectively once you are over this fear. Click here to register. I’ll be there too!
